36" Indoor 840 Commercial Sewage Grinder If your sewage system requires you to install a grinder pump system, which chews up and converts the sewage to a slurry for pumping, the 840 indoor simplex, single sewage pump package system with a control panel may be right for you. Installed indoors in the basement floor, the Zoeller 840 simplex sewage grinder pump will pulverize the sewage so that it can be pumped through a smaller line, for longer distance or higher pumping head. The control panel will reverse the direction of the cutter of the pump each time the pump is signaled to come on. This can help to free debris which gets caught in the impeller, and reduce the maintenance required to keep your sewage pump functioning at peak performance. The control panel also has an alarm in it to alert you to high water conditions which indicate that the pump is not functioning.

If you already have a suitable basin, you would need to buy the E840 pump, the simplex control panel with auto reversing, high water audible and visible alarm, and 3 floats with bracket and weights. You will also need the 1-1/4" cast iron check valve. Your pump will need to be installed with 1-1/4" galvanized steel pipe to take the extra vibration and stress from the larger 2 HP pump. The pre-assembled simplex indoor package comes with the 24" x 36" fiberglass basin with steel lid, plumbed with 1-1/2" galvanized steel pipe to suspend the grinder pump from the basin lid. There is a 1-1/4" cast iron check valve, a 4 inch cast iron hub for the incoming sewage line, a PVC ball valve, and installed openings for the 3 floats that control the alarm, pump on and pump off levels.
