Holeplug is 1/4" to 3/8"
bentonite granules or chips ( 100% passing a 3/8" screen, but 100% retained on a 1/4" screen ). Holeplug graded bentonite is a naturally occurring clay which is used to seal and plug drilled holes. The clay is a sodium-based Wyoming bentonite ( montmorillonite ) which has the specific characteristic of swelling in fresh water. Holeplug graded bentonite is mined from deposits which have the ability to swell at a controlled, slow rate. Holeplug bentonite will fall through a column of standing water and easily reach the bottom of the hole before hydration or water swelling begins. MAJOR ADVANTAGES: Prevents entry of surface water into borehole, prevents vertical movement of fluids in the hole between porous zones, forms a permanent, flexible downhole seal, allows hole re-entry, packaged in easy to open sewn sacks, and simple to use and no mixing necessary. RECOMMENDED USES: Sealing outside casing annulus, sealing above gravel packs, plugging boreholes, sealing around conductor pipe, stemming pre-shot and plugging seismic shot holes, sealing loss circulation zones, and shutting off artesian wells. ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION: A natural, unaltered mineral with no added chemicals or contaminants, non-toxic, does not spoil or ferment, and is environmentally safe. PACKAGING: Packaged in 50 lbs sacks, 48 sacks to a shrink wrapped pallet. |

BENSEAL is a specially
processed course ground, non-drilling grade bentonite for use in sealing
and grouting well casing and earthen structures. Benseal bentonite is in
granular form, approximately the size of #8-12 silica sand. It can be
either poured into a dry annual space or mixed into a slurry for
placement into the borehole.
RECOMMENDED USES: Seal and grout plastic and steel casings, seal engineering test study holes, plug and abandon mineral exploration holes and seismic shot holes, seal conductor pipe in and around mud tanks, and to seal ponds, dams, ditches, and other earthen structures. SEALING EARTHEN STRUCTURES: Work Benseal into the soil, covering completely the area which will be under water. Normal treatment is between 1 and 2 pounds per square foot, depending on the condition of the soil. To treat a water filled structure, broadcast Benseal evenly over the entire area. ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION: Benseal contains no contaminants, it is non-toxic and does not spoil or ferment. Benseal is suitable for use in sealing water well casings. PACKAGING: Benseal is packaged in 50 lbs sacks, and comes 48 sacks to a shrink wrapped pallet. |

MUDGEL is a treated sodium
montmorillonite, finely ground powder ( about the consistency of talcum
powder ) of premium grade western sodium bentonite meeting the American
Petroleum Institute's Specification 13A. Mudgel provides viscosity and
gelling characteristics to most water based drilling fluids.
RECOMMENDED USES: Often added to
portland cement gout mixtures ENVIRONMENTAL ACCEPTABILITY: So safe that Mudgel bentonite is a non-toxic component of pelletized feeds for domestic animals. Mudgel does not ferment or spoil. PACKAGING: Mudgel is packaged in 50 lbs sacks, and is palletized 48 sacks on a shrink wrapped pallet. |
