pump systems give you uniform pressure for a consistent flow of water at a
desired water pressure. Uniform pressure is just like city water pressure
in that the pressure is steady all the time when you open a faucet. Our
constant pressure pump systems are available in 4 different size groups,
to properly match different well capacities and different well depths. Available in CP75,
CP150, and the high

CITY LIKE WATER PRESSURE FROM A RURAL WATER WELL
CONSTANT PRESSURE 4" SUBMERSIBLE PUMPS
Most water well pumps are used to pump water to a pressure tank system that keeps your water pressure and flow in a specific range, usually varying the pressure between turn on and off ratings of 20 psi difference.
The CP Series of constant pressure submersible pumps is different. Flint and Walling has engineered the pumps to match Franklin submersible motors and The CP constant pressure controller. The CP controller is the brains of the system. Using single phase power from you power source into the CP controller, the power is converted from single phase to three phase power. The conversion to 3 phase allows the pump to soft start the motor, and to ramp up the rpm speed to a higher level than a single phase motor can run. The pressure sensor signals the pump to start as soon as you open a faucet. The motor will rev up to speed to fill your water gallon demand at a set pressure. The pressure tank is small, and does not store water. Instead, the small pressure tank is a sounding vessel to signal the pump controller to turn on the pump and fill your request for water.
The CP series of
constant pressure water well pump systems have a 3 year warranty on the CP
Controller and the pressure sensor. The Flint and Walling pump end and
motor carry a
operates similarly to the cruise control on your car. Once the speed is
set, the engine is electronically controlled to maintain that speed. The F&W
constant pressure pump system
maintains a constant pressure so there is no more pressure cycling between 30 psi, 40 psi
and 50 psi from your well pump. When more water is required, the pump runs faster, and
when less water is needed, the pump runs slower.
The electronic controller provides diagnostics against a variety of typical application hazards. You are protected against Rapid Cycling or water logged tank problems, short circuit to motor, under voltage, pump overload caused by clogging with sand or silt, and from running dry.
NOTE: Per Franklin Electric, the wire distance from the CP controller to the motor should not exceed 1000 feet in distance.
How does the constant pressure water system work?
The CP SubDrive Water Controller is the heart of the system. As water passes through the water line, the water pressure is sampled several times a second by the pressure controller which signals a microprocessor to control the pump, by speeding up or slowing down the motor, much like your cruise control on your car works. The controller is factory set at 50 psi, and can be adjusted to a range of 30 psi thru 70 psi, with the turn of a screw located inside the pressure switch controller.
What are the benefits of the Constant Pressure Pump?
The Commander Pro series provides steady
"city-like" water pressure, which does not fluctuate like normal rural well systems do.
Do Not use a GFCI (Ground Fault Interrupter) with a SubDrive
Do not use of a GFCI on a SubDrive Controller will cause the GFCI to trip on start up and the motor will not run.
