The LX pitless well cap is installed on the PVC or steel well casing by sliding the O-ring over the top of the casing. This O-ring is what will make the seal at the bottom of the LX pitless well cap.

It helps if you have a taper on the pipe, however if you do not have a taper, it will just make the o-ring tighter to install.

We offer the LX series of Pitless Well Caps as the LX41 which is a 4" pitless well cap with a 1" conduit opening for pump wire.

We offer the LX51 for 5" well casing with a 5-9/16" OD.

We offer the LX61 for 6" well casing with a 6-5/8" OD.

After placing the O-ring over the top of the pipe, the base of the pitless well cap is pressed down over the o-ring and the o-ring squeezes into the cavity in the LX well cap base. After the base is positioned correctly, you will tighten up set screws against the casing. These are tightening in below the
o-ring and prevent it from sliding out the bottom, after installation.

Once the base piece of the LX pitless well cap has been installed, the well cap cover will go down on top of the base on a flat gasket.

There are 5 bolts and nuts to secure the well cap to the base. These make a good secure cover over your well top, and have the 1" conduit for bringing your pump wire out of the well to a splice box.

There is also a vent installed into the well cap to keep your well ventilated.
