	Sand Blocker drive point screens and screen extensions are constructed of 2 layers of stainless steel with 3/16" perforations and stainless steel wool between them for filtration. TYPE 304 STAINLESS STEEL ROD BASED CONTINUOUS SLOT WIRE WRAP WELL SCREENS & DRIVE POINTS Johnson is the leading manufacturer of wire wrap well screens. Vertical stainless steel support rods are wrapped with v-wire ( wedge tapered ) stainless steel welded wire that produces a continuous slot opening areound the entire surface area of the screen. Here in Denver, we stock this screen in a 10 slot ( ie 10/1000 inch opening ) construction. This screen yields approximately 7.4 square inches of open area per linear foot of screen. These screens and drive points are made entirely of Type 304 stainless steel ( even including the drive point head itself ) to produce an extremely corrosion resistant product. The Screens are threaded with standard iron pipe thread MIPT x MIPT. Using both 3' screens and 5' screens along with our 2" stainless steel pipe couplings, you can come up with an almost unlimited choice of screen setting lengths. In addition, our threaded flush joint change-over will allow you to transition into ASTM F-480 threaded flush joint PVC plastic solid riser pipe for monitoring applications. The v-wire or wedge wire tapered opening becomes progressively wider toward the interior of the well screen. This produces a non plugging opening ( unlike mesh construction ) that has only two contact points to retain sand particles, thus increasing efficiency and lowering entrance velocity. STANDARD STAINLESS STEEL DRIVE POINTS Heavy ductile iron hex shaped drive point to prohibit turning or wandering in tough driving conditions. Schedule 40 heavy wall electro-galvanized steel pipe body for extra strength and resistance to flaking or peeling. Galvanized steel pipe has large holes approximately 3/8" diameter for lots of flow. Bronze mig weld on top and bottom to prohibit stainless steel jacket outer wrap from shifting or peeling. Has 3/16" spot welds on 1" centers along drive point seam to prevent seam from opening. Heavy duty stainless steel outer jacket with 1/8" staggered perforations for maximum open area, with an inner stainless steel 60 gauze wrap which is equivalent to a .010" slot opening, for long life and low corrosion.
