wool filter media in between to trap any sand particles from getting
into the inner area.
Sand Blocker drive point screen and
screen extensions are constructed of 2 layers of stainless steel with
3/16" perforations and stainless steel wool between the layers for
filtration. Drive points are male iron pipe thread, by stainless steel
point. Drive extensions are male iron pipe thread by female iron pipe

The Sand Blocker Stainless Steel Drive Point is male iron pipe thread by stainless steel
point. This makes it ideal for connecting to your string of drive pipe.

Johnson is the leading
manufacturer of wire wrap well screens. Vertical stainless steel
support rods are wrapped with v-wire
( wedge tapered ) stainless steel welded wire that produces a
continuous slot opening around the entire surface area of the
screen. Here in Denver, we stock this screen in a 10 slot ( ie
10/1000 inch opening ) construction. This screen yields
approximately 13.3 square inches of open area per linear foot of
screen. These screens and drive points are made entirely of Type 304
stainless steel ( even including the drive point head itself ) to
produce an extremely corrosion resistant product.
The Screens are threaded with
standard iron pipe thread MIPT x MIPT. Using both 3' screens and 5'
screens along with our 2" stainless steel pipe couplings, you can
come up with an almost unlimited choice of screen setting lengths.
In addition, our threaded flush joint change-over will allow you to
transition into ASTM F-480 threaded flush joint PVC plastic solid
riser pipe for monitoring applications.
The v-wire or wedge wire
tapered opening becomes progressively wider toward the interior of
the well screen. This produces a non plugging opening ( unlike mesh
construction ) that has only two contact points to retain sand
particles, thus increasing efficiency and lowering entrance
